RFCCC 2013 – A Great Success


The Robert F. Cook Centennial Celebrations RFCCC-2013), a world-wide, yearlong celebration was officially inaugurated by Dr. Tim Hill, General Director, Church of God World Missions, on January 26, 2013 at Tiruvalla during the 90th Kerala State Convention. With God’s grace many planned projects were carried out and several meetings took place within the USA, Canada, UK, UAE and India. The highlight of the yearlong celebration was the Robert F. Cook International Conference held at Mt. Zion, Mulakuzha, Chengannur, Kerala in the newly built Robert F Cook Convention Center from October 21-27, 2013. RFCIC was attended by many distinguished guests like Dr. Mark Williams, General Overseer, Church of God, Dr. Tim Hill, Rev. Ken Anderson, Rev. Dennis Heppner, Dr. John Sweet, and the Honorable Kevin Brooks, State Representative of TN and many others. A delegation of eight members from the Robert F. Cook family comprising of the third and fourth generation attended RFCIC. Dr. Robert Cook, the oldest grandson of Robert F. Cook led the family delegates. For the first time in the history of the Church of God, all the overseers of the Church of God from all over India attended along with their district pastors. The RFCCC auditorium was filled to capacity (1200) during the evening meetings and had about 750 registered participants attending the seminars during the day time. Dr. Alex Abraham from Operation Agape was a special guest on Saturday. Over twenty people were baptized during RFCIC.

RFCCC – 2013 was officially concluded on January 15, 2014, during a special meeting held at the Bible College Headquarters in Coimbatore, with the launching of 3 new Unreached People Group Projects (UPG) in the State of Tamil Nadu. Bro. Ken Anderson and Rev. Richard Baker prayed and commissioned three brothers for UPG ministry in the State of Tamil Nadu. COG TamilNadu's Pastor Gnanadhas, Overseer and Pastor Daniel, Bible School Director, who were present during the special meeting, will continue to provide leadership to the UPG efforts in Tamil Nadu.

RFCCC 2013 was an initiative and program governed by the RFCCC International Committee. On behalf of the RFCCC 2013 International Committee, I give all thanks and honor to our God almighty for His great blessings and grace which he showered upon all of us during the year-long celebrations. I am also grateful to all the International, National and Regional leadership for your support, encouragement and active participation. I extend a special thank you to Church of God Kerala State Overseer Rev. P.J. James & his team for providing the Mt.Zion premises and your logistic support for RFCIC.
